How do I make this happen via Zoom?
For starters, I have a little "Welcome Gift" waiting for you once you register — five beautiful vintage wildflower illustrations you can print and use in your artwork, along with a lovely little workbook with my thoughts, inspirational photos, and a place to take notes during the class.

Let me tell you a little about the class.
Summer flowers are a wonderful source of inspiration for so many of us. From beautiful gardens to fields of wildflowers, summertime is the perfect time to embrace their color, texture, and fragrance.
In this live class, I will ask you to think about how the flowers move in the breeze and the gentle shifts in color on petals, stems, and leaves as the weather changes throughout this beautiful season. Think about the busy little pollinators zipping from one flower to the next, intent on doing their all-important jobs.
Your view of the world is like no other; only you can express how you see and experience it through your art. Every garden, field, and meadow has a sense of freedom, joy, and movement. You can gather incredible inspiration from the natural world and translate what you see and feel onto your canvas.
I invite you to join me in this relaxing class as we paint a series of expressive and "Wild" flower paintings. There are no rules, only fun and embracing the joy of Summer.
Art Supplies
MY THOUGHTS ON ART SUPPLIES
It is easy to get swept away with art supplies, especially when you begin a new class. You don't need everything on the list! I suggest that you substitute with what you have on hand. I've made my best discoveries through substitution.
Please feel free to substitute any color, brand, or supply for something you already have.
Papers - Gather the paper you have on hand. Suggestions are Watercolor Paper, Mixed Media Paper, and Arches Oil Paper. Any of these will work.
Paper Sizes:
One piece of 8X10
2 or 3 pieces of 5x10
2 or 3 small scrap pieces of watercolor paper cut in square or rectangles
I will use Strathmore Drawing Paper (Optional) for the Color Fields. You can also use a sketchbook, sketch paper, or vintage paper.
Pencils & Pens - Anything you have on hand for our warm-up exercises
Paint - You can use what you feel comfortable using. I will use a combination of Golden's high-flow and regular heavy-body acrylic paints. You don't need to use the same colors I use, but if you're interested, I've included the links.
Caribbean Pink -- any light pink will work [Note: you can mix Caribbean Pink by mixing a spec of Burnt Sienna into Titanium White.
Golden's Titan Violet Pale [Note: you can create this color by mixing a spec of Alizarin Crimson, Paynes' Gray, into Titanium White]
Titan Buff [ You can mix this color by mixing a spec of Yellow Ocher into white.]
Mediums
Goldens Gloss (or Satin) Glazing Medium. This works excellent with Acrylic Paint and creates layers and movement with your paint. You can substitute with Matte Medium or Clear Gesson
Assorted Paint Brushes: I will be using:
Flat Brushes in a variety of sizes
Santa Fe Flat Brush (great brush)
Filbert
Small Flats
