Two Day Live Workshop

This workshop will encourage you to abandon perfection and embrace the gifts that set you apart as an artist. Once you do this, you will find that your art takes on a deeper meaning, and the beauty of who you are will emerge through your work.
I will share with you how I approach drawing the portrait using a variety of techniques and materials. Even if drawing the portrait is new, you will gain confidence and learn how to create beautiful, expressive portraits to incorporate into your art. Also, we will explore expressive florals, collage, and journal making.
I will guide you every step of the way as we celebrate the beauty of creating without judgment and find clarity and meaning within our art and create from a deep, soulful place.
Our Focus

- Work with different types of charcoal to build beautiful layers.
- Using both wet and dry mediums to create a series of loose portraits.
- Bring a deeper meaning to your portrait with stitching and collage elements.
- Create an expressive floral piece on a wood panel with acrylic and pastels.
- Create a collage piece using personal artwork and vintage ephemera.
- Create a small, handmade journal from one sheet of paper.
