Andrea Garvey

After a fulfilling career as a Creative Director in Corporate America, I decided to pursue that dream of becoming a full-time working artist. I felt it was a true calling and have never looked back. Now I am busy teaching online art classes for everyone around the world, as well as building up a creative community. Inspiring others through color and joy to tap into their creativity and see the magic in that superpower!

My favorite art mediums that I love to use are acrylics and watercolor paints. My paintings are a blend of abstract art and realism, and my technique is one of a fluid, intuitive style. Many layers are created by lines and marks, as well as various tools and paints. I love to draw, paint and create colorful art every day. I am happiest getting lost in the process of the details and layers that make up my art. I work with colors that make me happy - reminiscent of the beauty that is all around us. Just everyday simple beauty. Orange and pink, turquoise and red, lime and lavender. They are magical when painted together.

Carolyn Reed Barritt

Carolyn Reed Barritt grew up in rural northern Minnesota and received a B.A. in Art from Macalester College in St. Paul. Her work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Alexandria Museum, (Louisiana), and Site:Brooklyn (New York). She is represented by Boxheart Gallery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Carolyn’s artwork is in private and public permanent collections, including the Kimpton Hotel in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), the Bank of Ann Arbor in Michigan, and the Rosemont Hotel in Chicago. Several of her paintings have appeared in film productions, including the TV series, Bloodlines, and the feature film, Where’d You Go, Bernadette?

Moving between spontaneous, stream-of-consciousnesses mark-making, and deliberate and controlled drawing and painting, Carolyn’s artworks are a balance between doing, contemplating, then doing again: immediacy supported by intention. She exists between these diametrically opposed realms of abandon and restraint — feeling a deep need to express herself, yet restrained from doing so by her equally strong need for control. This reality results in artworks which combine raw, fluid expression with purposeful intent. The imagery Carolyn explores reflects her interest in topics that teeter between science and fiction, such as artificial intelligence, automation, and mythology.

Carolyn’s practice includes large and small sale paintings and drawings on paper and canvas, and are created with a variety of media such as acrylic ink, acrylic paint, graphite, charcoal, oil sticks, oil pastels and wax crayons.

Jeanne Oliver

Jeanne Oliver grew up in rural Illinois and now resides in Castle Rock, CO. She is inspired by our personal stories, travel, and nature.

Jeanne uses art to tell her current stories and also those of growing up among gravel roads, cornfields and early life surrounded by open spaces. Through mark making, layers and mixed media, she hopes to convey that we all have a story to tell.

Jeanne is married to her dream maker, Kelly, and the mother of three funny and creative children. She homeschools her children even though she has tried to get out of it a few times. You can often find her hiking, creating in her studio and finding an excuse to have another cup of coffee. She speaks and teaches all around the country and abroad. She was told that she needed to find that one thing but she doesn’t like listening to directions so she embraces many loves and that has given her a sweet mash-up of family, art, and travel. Connecting with women and sharing that each of us has been creatively made is one of her passions.
